Event Details

Join our indigenous partners visiting from Ecuador for a discussion of the urgent threat new oil development poses to their ancestral lands. Building on their brief statement at our Annual Luncheon, they invite you to learn more about the current situation in the Amazon and their stand to protect their territory. You’ll hear from:

  • German Freire, head of Achuar National Federation (NAE)
  • Patricia Gualinga, Director, Indigenous Affairs, Fundación Pachamama
  • Santiago Kawarim, head of Aerotsentsak (Achuar aviation service)
  • Narcissa Mashienta, head of Jungle Mamas program

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about what’s happening on the ground in Ecuador directly from those involved! There is no charge to attend, but space is limited and registration is required. Full location details available when you register.
